We start our report with the best news of the last two weeks. Thanks for you we won 1000 Euro from Germany. Now we can buy double walled isolated doghouses for Minimenhely.
The new houses have just arrived and they love it.
In the vast majority we are dealing with animals. If we tell you something about a person it has a serious meaning. It was not in another way on 15th November. STEVE IRWIN was a man we should follow in his life, work and personality. STEVE IRWIN was „ The Crocodile Hunter”. The Australian Government declared this day as a Remember Day for STEVE IRWIN.
In 1973 the parents of STEVE IRWIN founded Australia Zoo in Sunshine Coast. Steve grows up there and he spent all his time with animals. He loved all kind of animals especially reptiles. He captured his first poisonous snake at the age of 6 in order to save it from the cars on the road. His father used a special technique for capturing crocodiles without hurting them. It was useful for Steve as well. He was 9 when he captured his first crocodile. Later he captured crocodiles regularly in order to save the place where the conflict between man and nature is high. That’s why he got the name „The Crocodile Hunter” but he has never hunted for any animals! He delivered the captured animals to a safer river or he kept them in the family’s Reptile Park.
Many of you asked how Füstös is. Soon we are going to make a new video. Until that let’s see this one. This video is about Carmen. But as long as Riksa and Füstös live on the farmhouse nothing can happen without them. As you can see Füstös is well. He is always in move. He is running all the time and does his work. The only problem is that He wants to eat much more than we can give him so He weighs a little bit more than the needed. This is not fortunate in hir status. So please don’t give more food to Füstös in any case!
We love „happy end stories”. We have a new one! Árész, an old dog who has some problems with his joints came to us from the 16th district. Thanks for sharing his advertisement on Facebook and for Zsuzsanna J. his original owner found him after two days. It turned out that he is 14 years old!
There is a clash of waves above the horse rescue group. We have more and more tasks but we are just a group of three. So we need some volunteers who know much about horses and can help us in the everyday tasks. If you feel that you can help then contact us on lomentes@noeallatotthon.hu. We can’t offer anything so if you want to ride or have an own horse, please don’t write. We can only offer a group who loves horses and some kisses from the horses or Amálka, the mule. I’m sure most of you remember Gumó. He is a young mixed dog who came to our place with a deformated leg. His leg was hurt so much so it had to be amputated. That time Gumo was too young for the operation. Time went by and little Gumó became old enough for the operation. The next day he didn’t realized anything. He was running and playing a lot with the others. But the best news is that he lives in Germany now with a family who love him in spite of his disability.
Unfortunately we have some bad news as well. One of our dogs died unexpectedly in babesiosis. Dodó spent one and half years with us. He had serious injuries after a train crashed him. But he was strong and got well soon. He lived near the farmhouse freely. He was autonomous. Sometimes he popped like a cat, sometimes he was alone. When he was happy he jumped near our neck but on other days he just looked us angrily. But we loved him. In the last few weeks he stayed near the front door. He was one of the gatekeepers at NOÉ. One morning we found him in his house. Unfortunately ticks could do what a train couldn’t! Rest in peace our Friend we won’t forget You!
Unfortunately he wasn’t the one who has died recently. Mucika was the other. :-( Her body gave up the fight! Her kidneys stopped. Her body was getting worse so rapidly that she couldn’t have been operated yesterday. She got the medicines and the infusion. We believed in wonders. We thought every day is a new chance. But it brought just the passing. It’s hard to say anything now because both people and animals loved her. As we are passing by the farmhouse area we are searching for her near her house, in the middle of her kingdom. She was nice but she had a little physical defect. Maybe that was the cause that she stayed with us for six years. Our hart breaks because we couldn’t find her a family. She was both everybody’s and nobody’s dog. We wouldn’t forget her when we see that place… Let’s be a happy dog by new hosts under the blue sky on green fields. Let’s be happy over the rainbow bridge!
On 21 November there was an unusual event here. The Ministry of the Interior National Directorate General For Disaster held an air-defense exercise where 2500 air-defense sirens were tried out. The same action was more than ten years ago so our dogs can’t remember this. We asked everybody to pay more attention on their pets because we thought that they become scared of it.
Finally, it seemed that the smoke was greater than the flames. The sirens were silent. We are over it successfully! :-)
Most of you may know Dia. We wrote about her several times. This nice and sweet dog is one of the dogs that living here for the longest time. It is worth a mass why it is like this, but it’s not our topic now. Unfortunately Dia is fighting with cancer. Until now she was the winner, but now the disease is the stronger. Dia feels well and she is a strong fighter, that’s why we hadn’t thought of any other alternatives yet. She needs an operation and other healing (chemotherapy and radiation therapy) as well. She does the hard work: fights and healed, but we need the money for it. This fight would cost more than 200.000 Ft. Please help with a small amount of money for the healing of Dia! But a foster family would be more important than money now! She needs a clean place where she can heal! A place where someone can look after her in the though moments. As to fight with a disease the patients need the balance. Dia is a calm dog; she can walk very vell on the leash. She loves other dogs and people, but she doesn’t like cats. Christmas of Animal Rescue Group-Please vote for Zsuzsa
The first and most important is sorry Zsuzsi-you don’t know what we are organizing behind you! So as soon as we got the call on facebook for the action Christmas of Animal Rescue Groups we thought of Zsuzsa – Zsuzsa Jaczkovszky, J.Zsuzsa, Minis Zsuzsi- as you know her.
The essence of the action is to nominate those animal rescuers who did something special during the whole year. The first three people who got the most votes win a key ring with a bronze dog. However the key rings are beautiful the admission is more important.
It is not a question that Zsuzsi is a dominant figure in the Hungarian animal rescuing for a long time. Thousands of dogs can be thankful for her to get a new loving family.
Zsuzsa is the founder and the owner of NOÉ Minimenhely since seven years and she helps lost and found dogs since ten years. She registers the data of lost dogs so everybody can use this. We cannot count how many dogs were helped by her. As the manager of the Minimenhely (Small shelter) she helped more than 1000 dogs in seven years. She works tirelessly for the dogs but she has another workplace and family as well. She often helps during her holiday or at night as well.

December and the celebrations are here. We are a bit more sensible in this period of the year. NOÉ Pethome Foundation and our community always help for people who are in need. This year we are going to do the same:

Everybody has the will but have „just” to do it! NOÉ Pethome also joined the donation and asks you to help if you can.
We are waiting for the donations for families and children. We are waiting for every donation that comes from heart.
Firstly we are kindly asking you to give us durable food or firewood. Old computers, monitors are also accepted! We also need boots or coats for children (age 12-14).
The donation lasts until 15 December.

Pupák, the fox is lucky. The workers of the Wildlife Park in Budakeszi love him and thank for the cooperation they adopted him.
A huge interactive run was built for him. He loves it and he adapted it well and the keepers started the Wild Park’s learning program with him. This program helps the keepers to know everything about the animals and see as soon as possible if the animal needs a vet.
On the 26th November we organized two programs in the Pet home.
Our Minimenhely (Small shelter) project is 7 years old and we also had a day for black pets. There were some activities for children, delicious food and speeches.
Thank you for everybody who spent that day with us! It is unbelievable that on a foggy day we had so many visitors. Surly that was the reason for the sunshine in the afternoon. The atmosphere was great all day. The balance of the day: five volunteers from Minimenhely (Small shelter) and many more protégée, three black dogs and two black cats became hosted.:-)

We tried to postpone it, but winter is here. It is cold, foggy and damp outside. The only consolation that it is Advent now and we are preparing for Christmas. As in every year we organize the Christmas for the Pets in NOÉ again. On 10 December 2011(Saturday) between 10 and 15 we will have a party again with the title Favorite for Christmas. Everybody is invited!
Please, think of these animals with as much love as we do this Christmas. Most of them were suffering a lot. You can’t imagine how bad it was for them. They can’t tell us, so we can see it just in their eyes or their dread show us what they feel.
Our tiny group tries to do the best, but it would be nothing without the NOÉ family behind our back. It’s not a secret that we need your help! We kindly ask you to give a small surprise for just one of our protégées. Naturally you can give a surprise not just for our cats and dogs, the other animals can be your Christmas Favorites as well! (The residents of the farmhouse love grits, corn, fruits and vegetables.)
We encourage everyone to choose a protégée as your Christmas favorite from the residents of the Pethome and give something for him/her on 10 December! We take a photo of every donator (with your permission) and we put it to our webpage as for showing how many of you love pets and we have time for them in the Christmas rush also. Every guest gets a cup of tea or mulled wine and a slice of greasy bread (we also think of vegetarians).
We are sure that the fans of Azil , our celebfox, are waiting for his new blogpost. He didn’t cause a disappointment now:
You probably missed me. I know, I could tell you sorry, but why should I lie? That is nasty. Now the happiness is bigger. Why should I provide explanation? I was tired; I had to have a rest. I hadn’t got time for you. You can approve it, that’s the only choice. So let me tell you a few words on last week’s events. I got a new frigging dog. I told you we are more and more. Especially there are three more dogs than it should be, but I was told there’s no other place for them. I don’t believe that there is no place elsewhere on five acres. I am a bird and I believe this… This is because I’m not respected here enough. But why is the celebrity fox not respected? But I think later on I will be respected. So the new fringed dog is Kompót.
No comment… He is as much mindless as the others. But he is just a dog. I don’t know what I waited for. Maybe a little bit of intelligence? I was innocent. So one more dog is breathing the air near me.
