Oooops we slipped a little bit, fortunately spring has arrived, so not on ice but with the submission deadline of our webdiary. But, better late than never, isn’t it? In our animal shelter the last weeks have been really eventful.

So, here is the first snow this year, that everybody is extremely and obviously happy about. However, not that much. It is cold, the roads are slippery, it is more difficult to get to NOÉ to go for a walk with dogs and so on. Even though it is winter or what else? Our protégés consider this the same way as we, most of them expected snowfall with pleasure. They were running, playing tag, digging the snow and rolling in it, so they enjoyed it such „as animals”,
but they are animals, aren’t they?

New Year, new system, a new try to tell you about the daily life of our feathery, furry, naked and squamous inhabitants regularly, so this time we don’t even try to attempt to summarize the missed out period. We’d rather concentrate on the new year, especially its first 2 weeks, as due to the year end’s fireworks these first 2 weeks were really eventful. For a change it would have been good if this year had been different.

Today is April 22th, Earth Day. Though we live all our days in the spirit of protecting Earth, respecting nature and protecting animals, we decided to dedicate some lines to this international event.

In our previous webdiary it was inconsiderate to say that spring was here. It was just showing itself and then the bear went back into its cave and we got a lot of snow and winter. We have not missed it. Please, we don’t want any more!

Thank God Spring is cooooooooooooming! Or, at least it shoed some hints of coming. For some days . Luckily, even our freeziest animals enjoy the first beams of sunlight, the fresh breeze of spring, so everyone could stretch their feet, paws and other limbs in the nice weather.

After a while we are back again with the Webdiary. We have an excuse: we had a lot to do. I try to summarize what has happened with us in the last few weeks. I hope we were successful. As it always happening there were some good and bad things. We got some new dogs and some others went to new hosts.

Our first report in the new year is about dogs who ran away because of the new Year’s Eve fireworks. Our life has been about this recently. Our voluteers have been trying to send these runaways back home since 31st of December. We have a topic on Facebook for missing and found dogs and try to help them going home by sharing the photos.

Lately it seems that most of our time has been occupied with work around the house and some DIY. You might remember that some weeks ago we received an immense amount of raw material to build new kennels. Well, I am happy to let you know that the new kennels are ready! Though there are still some organizing work to do, like finding and rearranging some of the dog houses, but these are far less time consuming than building. And the design work is of course totally up to the new inhabitants of the kennels, they are pretty good in this in general.

Fighting with the never ending delays of the DogLog, we decided to publish a two-week edition. Luckily in and out traffic was very active, we built a stable and cured our lama, because Debi is sick again. But let’s also talk about something really good: we got lots of good news about the adopted puppies.
