Boldy news
2010.01.17.

Boldy has been with us for two weeks already. During these weeks many people were interested in his recovery. One of our supporters was so kind to surprise him with a special matrass which prevents decubitus. Boldy is getting better, the edema has decreased on his testicles, legs and anus. Anita treats his decubitus with ointment several times a day. Boldy takes the torture and treatment without protest.

As he cannot move himself, we have to change his body position several times a day.

Every time his body is turned we have to wash him, treat his injuries with ointment (Neogranormon) and massage him.

After that we change the sheet under him, we give him water - as the collar he has to wear after surgery keeps him from reaching his bowl –, and then he continues to sleep. His appetite is really good and his mood is getting better.

He is a very nice dog who only wants to be loved.

Now he moves a lot more than he did earlier, and unfortunately he prefers to lay on his left side so we keep on turning his body back. However, the decubitus on that side is much worse as a consequence of his preferred body position.

If somebody visits him please move his legs (pull them gently and let Boldy pull them back), and if his unharmed side is up, please turn him on his other side, and put some ointment on the decubitus on his legs and testicles. The more of us do it the less scars he will suffer from.

Thank you!
