Doglog 02. Jan 2010
2010.01.04.

This week we had to shelter a good number of dogs that were frightened by the end-of-the-year fireworks and ran away from home. At least for two weeks we are looking for their ORIGINAL owners!

The first animal rescued this week is Deci, found in the 18th district of Budapest, on the Üllői Road, with one leg broken.

Bolka and Bomber, as we christened them, were found in the 17th district. Luckily, we could contact their owner who took them home the next day. Their real names are Bella and Toby.

Füles (Little Ear) was probably born in 2008. His tail is a stump. He was found in the 17th district, near the Naplás lake.

Hera is a mixed breed, similar to the Hungarian kuvasz breed. She had a tag on her collar testifying that she had been vaccinated in 2008. She was found in the 16th district.

Dion is a 6-7 year-old German shepherd, picked up by our rescue vehicle on the Péceli Road.

Ivan, a 3-4 year-old dog was found in the 15th district, near the Erdőkerülő Street.

We sheltered an old Irish Setter bitch, found in the 17th district. Her owner contacted us the next day.

We received a call from Csepel and were asked to help with a Dalmatian giving birth. We were told that she had two puppies already but there might be more on the way as her belly is still huge. As we got there, it turned out that the dog is only obese, and her two puppies are already ca. 3 months old.

An old foxhound mixed breed was found in the 16th district, on the Veres Pál Road. We named him Silvester.

Sally, the 5-year-old goldie was picked up in the 20th district. She stays with the family that found her until we can contact her real owners.

Fannika was found in the 18th district, at the Shell gas station near Felsőcsatári Road. She was said to have been seen there for several days.

Pannika was found at the exit lane of highway M0 at Nagytarcsa. She is a black bitch, very similar to the Hungarian puli breed. She limps on her right front leg.

Bumi was found near Fót. He's a very friendly, ca. 5-year-old mixed breed.

We received Berti, an old mixed breed bitch. She was found in Gyömrő, she's approximately 8 years old. She has cancer.

Berni is a German shepherd-like mixed breed puppy, ca. 4 months old. He was picked up by an animal lover in the 15th district, near the highway M3.

The rabbits Botond, Bipper and Gesztenye found their new owners.

Some new cats have been sheltered as well. Our new inhabitants:

Boróka, now living with her temporary adopter

Pletyka (Gossip)

A real fruit salad: Banana, Apple, Orange, Papaya and Mango

Campari's stumped leg is continuous inflamed despite medical treatment, so it seems unfortunately that she's going to have to have a surgery and has her leg amputated.

If you think you can support her treatment with money, no matter how small amount it shall be, please make your donation on this bank account (please write „Campari” in the note section):

or you can make a donation on-line with your Visa card on our main site. You can support her also by adopting her virtually.

The cats Csinos (Pretty) and Csillám (Spark) found a new owner.

Csipesz (Clip), who was now christened Kakaó (Cocoa), moved to a temporary adopter.

Postás (Postman), the inhabitant of our Mini Shelter, found an old-new owner: his temporary adopter decided to keep him for life.

Our Boxer Rescue Team received a one-year-old, brown bitch, found in Szigetszentmiklós. We are looking for her ORIGINAL OWNER!

Many thanks to all our supporters for the help they gave us in 2009, and we hope that they will find us worthy of their support also in 2010. Thank you for supporting us, we would be nowhere without your care and assistance!

We wish a happy and peaceful New Year to all of you!
