Another "heartworm day" 💔🪱
/ cardiology day was with Dr. Péterfia Dalmával‼️ This time we were with 4 animals, 3 dogs and 1 cat in the Pet Ultrasound clinic.
🐶 Our boxer Vader came to us as part of an official procedure. Brutally skinny, neglected condition. Unfortunately, yesterday it was discovered that in addition to starvation and neglect, he has multiple cardiac conditions - heart base tumour, ARVC arrhythmia - and a stage 2 heartworm infection. His drug therapy will begin immediately. We are very hopeful that we will be able to keep all the problems under control / cured 🙏
🐶 Little Pereg, who we picked up off the streets ill and has already undergone 3 major surgeries, also tested positive for heartworm. This little dog has suffered a lot, so it is a great joy that all the results of the recent test were negative. With basic treatment, we will check his heart in 6 months.
🐶 Lucky Strike our giant Bernese shepherd is also on the exam table. He has been tested for stage 1 heartworm disease. He is starting a drug therapy (doxy-moxy). We are so proud of this 60kg big boy, he has been so wonderful. And we have to heal not only the physical illnesses but also the wounds of his soul. We have to restore his faith in people.

🐱Szulti the cat who is 10 years old, came into our care after the death of his owner. We had to deal with various health problems with her, one was a serious heart murmer. Thank goodness the cardiological check-up showed that she did not have any heart disease. 🙏 We swooned as he was so sweet and kind during the scan. Anyone who has had an echocardiogram with a cat knows it's not the easiest thing to do.
These examinations and tests were at a discounted price of 125.000 Ft. In 3 weeks we will go to Dr. Dalma with another infected dog2.
At the Noah's Animal Shelter Foundation, we currently have nearly 70 dogs with heartworm disease under active treatment.
We would like to ask you two things:
1. preventively protect your own dogs‼️🙏
2. if you can, please support the treatment of NOE heartworm dogs, they had no responsible owner to protect them! 😢😡
