There is something wrong with Fater!
2023.11.16.

Something is very wrong with Fater 😥
He has been sick for 1 month, bloody diarrhea/sputum. He has been through a long course of tests. Mostly outlined as a stomach ulcer. He's been doing pretty well lately, but yesterday the blood, pain, nausea came back. 💔😥Rush to doctor for further specialist investigations. So she is on her way to Dr. Dalma Peterfia's team for a full ultrasound and gastroscopy as needed. The first step was a detailed cardiac and abdominal ultrasound scan. Although minimal cardiological abnormalities were seen, only age appropriate picture was seen on the screen. The abdominal ultrasound confirmed what we saw from the emergency lab, that the old man unfortunately had incipient renal failure. This obviously needs to be addressed, but it is almost certainly not the cause of his worrying symptoms 💔😥
Next, a gastrostoscopy was performed, which means that the upper tract of the oesophagus, stomach and small intestine were examined with an endoscope. The good news is that no abnormalities were seen in this section. There is no sign of bleeding, tumours or ulcers. 🙏💜
On one hand, this is wonderful news, which we are very, very happy about. On the other hand, of course, we need to investigate further to find out what is causing her worrying symptoms. The next step is an all-encompassing bowel examination and, depending on that, a scan of the lower intestinal tract.

We would like to thank Dr. Dalma Péterfia, Dr. Eszter Mernyei-Bobok and the whole team of Pet Ultrasound for taking on the extra urgency to examine our Fater and for always providing the highest level of professional care and safety for our animals. 🙏💜

Fater is ten plus years old, a bit shy but affectionate dog. Anyone who has visited the Noah's Animal Shelter Foundation in recent years will know him, as he can be found roaming freely around the adoption office most of the day, or relaxing in the very first "Red Riding Hood Kennel". 🥰
Thank you so much if you can help with her vet costs 🙏💜

Please support his recovery and treatment!
