Another heartworm 🪱 day Dr. Péterfia Dalmánál‼️
In the past weeks 6 heartworm ➕ dogs have arrived at the Noah's Animal Shelter Foundation. Four of them have now undergone a full cardiological examination with Dr. Dalma.
💔 Kaba_mama, who arrived with her babies. The babies have reached weaning age, so mommy's treatment can begin. We start with alternative drug therapy with her
💔 Dallam boxer girl is unfortunately not an easy case. Apart from her heartworm disease, 3 other incipient cardiological problems have been identified. In addition, she is having difficulty breathing. Therefore, the medicated heartworm protocol in her case is supplemented with cardiac medication and anti-inflammatory therapy. Further tests are still pending.
💔 Shing our old chau-chau daddy is a recent admission, he came into our care in very very poor condition. Among other things, he has heartworms, so we rushed him to the specialist for a check-up. In his case, heartworms are already visible in the area seen by the ultrasound, and there are also signs of other cardiological conditions. The doctor has classified him as stage 2. We will start him on medication.
💔 Blackberry the symptomatic spiky dachshund boy is also stage 2, unfortunately already. Fortunately he is clinically asymptomatic and still a youngster, so he has every chance of recovery.

This recent tests cost 95.000Ft. In 3 weeks we will go to Dr. Dalma with another infected dog, and based on today's tests we will start personalized treatments for everyone.
Noah's Animal Shelter Foundation currently has nearly 70 heartworm dogs under active treatment.

2. if you can, please support the treatment of NOE heartworm dogs, they had no responsible owner to protect them! 😢😡
