Hungary 2020, welcome to the new year :(

It is a new year and we were hoping it would start on a
good note but it didn't. :(

We have received a call that a gentleman have found a dog who was heavily bleeding in a village called Kondó in Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén county. The gentleman has wrapped him in a blanket which probably saved the dog's life and called for help. Animal rescue people came and took him to the vet in Kazincbarcika and had a life saving operation. He was stabbed with a pitchfork a number of times and if that wasn't enough somebody wanted to cut his head off. :(

The vet who saved his life that day took the medical findings with pictures and gave them to the animal rescue group so they can go to the police and press charges. After the surgery he was brought up to Budapest and he came into our care. He was immediately transfered to the Juhász Small Animal Clinic where they keep fighting for his life. He lost a lot of blood so he was given plasma transfusion. He was given the name Kondó so we don't forget where he came from.

We would like to thank the gentleman who found him and didn't leave him there. We would also like to thank Erika Pintér who went to get him right away and organized his help and transport.
