This year we had a rough and sad start. A few families that came into our care had the parvo disease. We know it is in the cards but it was hard to live through it. We have lost a few babies along the way and we realized that we had to make a decision on how to go on to stop the disease. We have decided to build a new quarantine kennel area and it is only half ready. Due to the warm weather a lot more puppies were born into the winter weather and we had know choice but use the new half done kennels because just in the last 3 weeks we saved 24 puppies from sure death. Thankfully 3 families came with a mother dog but about a dozen babies who are being fostered and cared for by our volunteer workers.
On the picture you can see Virsli and her little family who came into our care from the Animal Protection Foundation in Füzesabony. Virsli lived and gave birth in horrible condition but they are safe now.
