Wilbur's accident

If you run an animal home that has about 1200 animals to care for on a daily basis then you have health issues with old protegés and not just with the new ones. One of our protegés Wilbur who came into our care first in 2009. He was adopted but after a couple of years he was brought back because he is afraid of storms and he tries to flea in the stormy weather. It was easier for the family to bring him back then to fix the fence so Wilbur couldn't run away. A lot of years have passed since then, he got older and nobody wanted to adopt him. One day we noticed he has a hard time swallowing and that he is throwing everything back up. We took him to our miracle worker vet Dr. Boda who did an endoscopy test and we found out that he has a 7 cm long bone fragment stuck in his throat. The bone was removed and he has to take medication for a few days. He has every chance to recover from this unfortunate incident.

Wilbur is a very friendly dog and we are hoping that somebody will fall in love with this big black dog and adopt him!
