A teeny tiny dog in big trouble.
Porcelan Lili (Porcelain in English) got this name on purpose. She is a small and fragile chivava who is very sick. She has more serious illnesses. We are waiting for the last results. Her treatment will depend on the specialist’s opinion. It all started that when she came to us she was very fragile and thought she was dehydrated. Her bad breath was not tolerable. The examination revealed that she has an ulcer in her mouth because of a tooth. It would need to be cleaned but since it has to be done in anesthesia it can’t be done because her bad condition she would not live through it.

She has been getting infusion with lots of vitamins and minerals to make her stronger but she is not making progress. Her latest blood results show that her liver function is not good and that is one of the reasons of her condition. Her biggest problem is that the ELISA quick test came back positive for heartworm so now we are waiting for the so called PCR lab results to confirm if she has indeed has heartworms. If it will be positive as well then this tiny dog has a long fight ahead of her. This disease is very trying and dangerous for a healthy dog not to mention for a fragile dog like Lili it is more so. The results will come back in a few days.
Althoug Lili is small and fragile but her eyes are shining and are full of trust. She is fighting and wants to get better and she wants to have a luxurious life that she deserves and we will do everything in our power to help her.

We are asking for donations for Lili’s examinations and treatments. Although she is tiny but her vet costs are almost in the six figures numbers (in forint). If the PCR test comes back positive for the heartworm then the costs will multiply very quickly.
