Gipsy King, NOÉ’s brand new heartbreaker
2014.02.18.

The NOÉ girls fall really easily in love, and here is a case of infatuation again! The object of their love now is no other than a real king, that is Gipsy King, the NOÉ herd’s brand new heartbreaker. We will introduce him in more details soon, but the most important is that he is also a perfect animal because he is BLIND.

Gipsy is a 14 year old trotter, neutered. And as usual here he is multiply disadvantaged. He used to race but since he did not live up to the expectations he was sold. His present owner bought him at that time. Unfortunately fate intervened and he had to sell him, but he thought the ho rse would have a good place. Sad to say he was wrong. After a few years he managed to get him back in a terrible condition. His legs and joints were totally ruined due to the excessive work and he started to get blind. He needed a lot of time to recover. He is fine now (although his legs are apparently really worn out), but his blindness seems to be permanent.
He cannot see with one of his eyes at all, with his other eye he may perceive shadows. His owner has been looking for a place where he is taken cared of for his whole life, but as we all know a blind horse has special needs. He can’t live in a herd as the others would hurt him.
Anyway he lived together with two donkeys lately but when they were brought out to work and Gipsy was left alone he got panicked, so this was not a good solution either.

“Thanks” to Debi at NOÉ both the experience and the place are given for the happiness of a blind horse, so Gipsy could find a final home with us. It’s not a secret that we would like him to become the partner of Debi and that they live happily ever after in the Blind Horse Sector.

Please cross your fingers that they get on well with each other!

And of course Gipsy loves apples and carrots just like the rest of the herd.
