A skinny staffordshire bitch with a completely deformed legs came into our care. She had been of interest to us before but was hidden away. She also has/had puppies, unfortunately we do not know what is going on with them.

We have named her Karika. She was born sometime around 2018. She had a curved leg even as a puppy and there was talk of her coming to us at the time, but with her disappearance there was no chance her leg curvature could have been corrected.

She is now in our care and we will be taking her for an orthopaedic assessment soon to see if there is any chance of our Karika's curved leg being corrected.


She is a very sweet little girl who, despite her crooked leg, is happily wagging and living her life. We hope that this physical defect will not hinder her adoption, but we have to admit that it is not easy to live in a shelter with a leg like that, so it would be even more important for her to find a permanent family.
