No Kill Hungary asked for help in placing a Kuvasz bitch waiting to be euthanized in Borsod. Help was needed very quickly, because she was only a few days away from being euthanized…

Marika is a skinny Kuvasz bitch born in 2016, smaller than the average Kuvasz. Marika, the 9-year-old Kuvasz saved from euthanasia, had a “something” the size of a child’s head between her legs, which was both a large breast tumor and a terrible hernia. In the hernia, practically all of her abdominal organs were exposed, and her intestines had unfortunately already stuck out.
After the specialist examination, she was immediately taken to the operating room, we couldn’t wait any longer. Despite the fact that Marika has heartworms and the full examination of that had not yet been done, we had to undertake the risky, 3-hour procedure. It was risky, but it was her only chance, since she was already having difficulty defecating.
At the Csipet-Csapat Veterinary Center, we had Dr. Kata Kardos again, to whom we can thank for the brilliant surgery. The operation went well, our Marika woke up without complications and after a few days of hospital care, her condition allowed her to continue her recovery in the NOÉ hospital ward.

Marika adapts easily, despite her condition, she is an energetic and cheerful dog, she seeks human company, hides, cuddles, and requires care. Now she knows that love is also worth it.

She is a true, wholehearted dog who can be your loyal companion if you give her some time and a lot of love.
We know that despite this, she is not a teddy bear. We are looking for a family for her who loves her, provides her with security and is patient with her. Still, they can provide her with space and a loving home that meets the needs of shepherd dogs.
