The current operation of Marcus Schenkkel's Orgovány shelter is neither ethically, legally, nor from an animal welfare perspective acceptable! And this is true of his previous shelters, both here in Hungary and in Austria, where he was banned from keeping animals because of this! A dog collector who calls himself an animal protector. 120-130 dogs in pack housing, dirt, stench, garbage everywhere. We were there 60 days ago, that's how much time he was given to change the situation. Now about 80 dogs have been rescued from there. 4 dogs have been taken into the care of Noé Animal Home.
Unfortunately, among those who came to us, there are ones that have heartworms, giardiasis, like the other dogs rescued from there. They are all shy, their bodies have healed and are full of fresh wounds, scars, and injuries. One of them has a serious skin disease. Fleas are swarming in them.
From the small group, Ronja, a medium-sized girl born in March 2020. She is the most timid member of the group. We haven't received a friendship card yet and she wants to stay away from all human contact, timidly and a little growling. We will give her enough time and do everything we can to help her settle down and have the opportunity for a happier life. We don't think she is a lost cause, because when she even let us pet her, we saw in her eyes the desire to continue petting her. Upon her arrival, we gave her the missing vaccinations and she also underwent external and internal parasite control.
After the official procedure is completed, Ronja will be vaccinated, microchipped and neutered, can be adopted as a family member.
You can inquire about her at info@noeallatotthon.hu.
