The Association for Animals, who care for the dogs at the Kunhegyes lawn care centre, asked the Noah's Animal Shelter Foundation to help a dog in a terrible condition.
They arrived at a tidy house. A nice house in the front... and worms eating the dogs alive in the back.
The dog in the worse condition was taken into the care of NOÉ, her name is Visszarionova, working name Nova.
She has a huge wound on her neck from the chain that grew into her neck, and a pus-filled, stinking tumour the size of a baby's head is sticking out of her perineum. She's thin, can barely walk, and her heartworm test came back positive.
She was literally rushed to help at the last minute and her condition is life-threatening (or rather, we hope not at the last minute!)
She was immediately taken to the Csipet-Csapat Veterinary Centre where, thanks to the intensive treatments, she underwent her first tumour removal operation, which was very risky, but we tried it in consultation with our doctors. She is currently recovering in the Noah's Hospital ward and we can see that her spirits are undiminished. She is an incredibly friendly, calm natured big bear.
The dogs have been confiscated and administrative proceedings have been started. In parallel, the owner has been taken in for questioning by the police. Nova is safe now, but we are still recovering from all the surgeries and heartworm treatments.
You can inquire about her at info@noeallatotthon.hu.
