Cat of the Week: Micus
2014.05.04.
Dear Everybody,

I know that the kitten season is on now, and everybody wants to see cute little kittens, not a 2-year-old adult cat, but I’d like to introduce myself, someone may be interested in a mini cat.

I’m Micus from the ’puzzle team’, my pelvic was broken after being hit by a car. Fortunately the amazing doctor at Noe Shelter cured me and now I’m making a good recovery at my temporary owner’s.

And why did I write mini cat? Because I’m not bigger than a 6-month-old cat and according to my foster mum my face is like a kitten’s. She also says that it’s cute so that I don’t get mad at her for saying that. But I don’t as she’s so good to me that I worship the ground she walks on. I promise that I’ll always look like this, I’ll always have a face like a kitten’s, not like some some-month-old kitties who can become big-headed tom cats later. I’m just saying.

First I was in a cage because I had to take care of my legs, but now I (and the other 8 cats and 5 dogs) own the whole flat. My foster mum is also at home when she doesn’t have anything to do somewhere else. I always follow her and can’t wait for her to sit down so that I can lie next to her and enjoy being patted.

I get on well with the other 8 cats but when I’m eating and they come closer, I growl at them. They take me seriously so I can have dinner peacefully. I could say that as I’m small, I don’t eat much, but it’s not perfectly true. My foster mum thinks that I eat a lot. I don’t really understand why she’s saying that, I eat only when I’m hungry or when the others are eating or when I get embarrassed from being petted much. Yes, I eat when I get embarrassed. But I won’t get fat because I purr while I eat  It’s like a Flabelos training, my whole body shakes from purring during eating so I take care of my shape!

Just imagine that there are dogs here who like cats. It’s unbelievable! I had other experience in the streets, so when I got here, I was just watching them in a shock and wanted to shout at the other cats to run because the dogs would eat them. But I couldn’t say anything, I saw that the cats calmly walk among the smelly-mouthed creatures. It was horrifying! I have to admit that after a while I wanted to cuddle with not only my foster mum but with a dog too, but don’t ever tell itt o anyone!

If you want to see my cute kitten face instead of mewing kittens’, send an introductory letter to macskamentes@noeallatotthon.hu and write ’I want Micus, the mini cat’ inside.
