Szelina in the procession
2010.10.07.
Dear Noé,

Imagine, on the 2nd of November 2010 I was in a procession in Budapest which was arranged on the occasion of the World Animal Day. It was so exciting to process as almost the only cat amongst a lot of dogs. There were only two other cats apart from me. A huge, red tabby cat called Pamacs and a grey and white domestic cat whom I can’t remember the name of. Unfortunately my mum (Mamus) and my foster-sister (Becky) couldn’t come because they’re big and they’d be too heavy to carry. But I’m small so it’s easy to carry me.

My keepers put my cushion into the cat-box and it smelled like my mum and sister so they were with me in thought and I wasn’t cold. Luckily the box saved me from the curious dogs so I felt I was in safe. I watched the happenings peacefully from the top of my soft pillow .I huffed only to the dogs who pushed my box which was hanging in the hand of my keeper.

My “dog-sister”, Lady came with us as well. She’s a Hungarian vizsla, and we get along quite well to the fact she’s a dog. I wont to play with her frisking tail and when she’s asleep I go really close to her and sniff around curiously. The only thing I don’t like that when our keeper doesn’t watch us she gobbles up all my food without a wink of the eyelid. Of course those times I bristle up and huff. After all I have to let her know that is my food.

During the walk I charmed everyone. A lot of people took pictures of me, stroked me. Troops of children stood around me and everyone said that I’m such a cute and pretty cat. Well yeah…If I put away all my modesty I do have an aristocratic charm ;) I inherited my beauty from my dad who was a Siamese cat presumably. My mum keep this so quite by the way. But it’s enough to look at me I completely look like a Siamese cat even if my mum is a black domestic cat. I have café-au-lait fur and I have chocolate brown “boots” , mask, ears and tail with it. And my eyes are sky-blue. Do we need any more proves?!

Otherwise I’m so happy since I found a new home and keepers with my mum on the 24th of July. I have loads of toys, a soft cushion I get lovely food to eat. Furthermore I got a “sister” from Noe. Her name is Becky. We frisk about, run around the house and play with ball together a lot. Our keepers love us a lot, they play with us a lot and we sleep with them in bed every single night cuddling. We go to the vet regularly. Our vet is Emese a lovely lady but unfortunately this doesn’t change the fact that I hate injections, medicines and flea-killer spray. But my keeper says I have to hack these if I want to be a pretty and healthy cat. I’ve already had 2 combined vaccinations, but there are a few more coming up such as an anti-rabic one. I hope it won’t be too painful. Crossed-fingers for me please!

I send you loads of purring and “cat-kisses”! I wish the best to all the cats in Noe and hope they’ll all find as lovely keepers as mines.

Szelina
