It is time for a new MogLog, so let’s get started. In the last two weeks we have been adopted a little bit more cats, but we till have as many adoptive masters as we need.. At the moment we are looking after almost 120 cats, thus we had to announce a CAT STOP, because we are not able to look after more cats responsibly. To our despair we have lost 6 kittens, they are over the rainbow-bridge now, farewell tiny ones. :(
But as usual, we have managed to save a lot of little velvet-paws, let’s see their list!


Peanut – She has got a prospective master!
She is an approximately 2-month old girl kitten. She was found thrown out and stuck on an arborvitae, she was crying desperately and she was very hungry and thirsty. She has become a purring, nice kitten by now, she is completely healthy and litter-trained.



Hiro was on our wait-list, he is a Russian-blue kind tomcat. He is gorgeous, but still shy.



Chili and Hugo – Already adopted!

They were found in the street, in spite of this they are very healthy moggies with a good appetite. Their foster carers bathed them, and gave them flea repellent and anthelmintics. They were a bit shy at the beginning, but after they relaxed, they are unstoppable, full of energy and curiosity, though they like taking long naps. You must earn their purring!:)
They are very much attached to each other, they follow each other in all mischief, they sleep together, they run enormous rallies, and they can play with a bottle cap for hours.:)





Aladár, Pirosszka and Sharki

6 little kittens became orphans at the age of 2 weeks, their mother disappeared. To give them a chance for life, a foster carer is bottle feeding them with formula or goat-milk. Unfortunately 3 of the little ones died. They are cute, purring, playful kitties, they can be adopted in about two weeks, but you can apply for them and you can visit them in the meantime.

Sharki – He has got a prospective master!



Bingo walked into the house of a pet’s friend, who could not keep him, and we put him on the wait-list. We have been able to house him just now. He is a very beautiful, nice, cuddling, red and white tomcat. You can already apply for him.



Dudi and Frici got into our shelter from the wait-list, because their master died. Dudi is a 12-year old tomcat, who is very sad because he lost the one who had loved him more than anybody else. He is expecting to spend the rest f his life in safety and love. They have a place in our outdoor kennel.

Our two blind kittens, Braille and Stevie, and Virgonc, whose one eye was removed because of cat flu, unfortunately died due to their diseases. The flu made their organizations very weak, and despite the careful medical treatments and the love of their foster carers they were not strong enough to survive. We are very sorry, good bye, little kittens!



We also lost Kópé (Naughty), who had been housed not long ago. After a sudden indisposition, his breathing stopped at the veterinary clinic, and unfortunately they could not save him. We thank his foster carer, Eva for taking care of him, and doing everything that was possible for him. Be happy over there, Kópé!



We have also had a success story this week, we named an injured cat Blue, but fortunately his master was found soon. The cat had slipped out the front door, that is how he had got into the street and his leg had been injured. Because the person informing us knew where the cat was taken, the master could find us. It turned out that the original name of blue is Chow (pronunciation: Sháo :-) When they met it was obvious for us that the cat really got back his original master, and now Chow can tease his own couch again at last. :)



Our Cinke kitty is still recovering, but she feels a little bit better.



The state of our Mizu puss is getting worse and worse, it turned out that his wounds are likely to be caused by an immune defect. We got him tested; we are waiting for the result. We would like to ensure laser treatment for him, because it can help a lot, since it has anti-inflammatory and wound-healing effects. Bogyó (=Berry)

Dear Noah,

I have promised some new pictures of Bogyóka. I selected the ones that were taken in the garden. He is already good at climbing trees, and fortunately has also learnt how to climb down. He loves being outdoors, but sleeps in the house even during the day, not mentioning the night. We will not let him stay outside during the night when he is an adult.

Vámpírka (Little Vampire) has been adopted this week, but we have already received a letter from her.:)

Hi Noah,
I am Little Vampire or Buffy as my masters have named me. I would like to tell you my yesterday, because it was very exciting. First of all, in the box I was travelling there was a blanket and a ball, and the thing we got into was moving beneath us. The masters were talking to me all through the way home,
but I was complaining just to make things sure, though. At times I got tired and I lay down, and as far as I could see, they were happy about this. When we arrived and I got out of the box, I explored my new apartment, it is very exciting. They followed me everywhere, showed me my loo, and gave me something very delicious to eat, though they were smiling at my munching and wolfing. I did not understand why, when such a little cat like me is subject to so many excitements, it is absolutely natural that it becomes hungry, isn’t it?? I heard them saying I was a real survivor. I got a ball, and my snug was paced, they showed me where it was in case I had wanted to go in. As if I was not able to find it! Anyway, I decided to sleep with them, just to make sure they do not disappear by the time I wake up in the morning. In the morning I heard mummy-master saying she had become completely one-sided, because she had not been able to stretch her legs, and daddy-master said that half of his buttocks had been hanging down the bed. a I don’t understand this, I slept absolutely well, this is a huge bed. Now I already had breakfast, I checked daddy-master in the bathroom whether he was having his shower appropriately. Then he cuddled me, and told me to be good, he would come home in the afternoon. What a remonstrance, I am always good! Then I played with mummy-master, and now I am having a nap in the middle of the bed. So don’t worry about me, i am fine, I will send you a picture, too, though they say it is hard to take a photo of me, because i never stay still. But everything is so exciting!!! I will write you again, now I have an urgent nap to take. Nye, meow.

Hi there,

Szoffi is still hyper-active, she still plays rather roughly with us, we try to caress her in vain, the only thing she is interested in is playing, and the well-deserved afternoon nap. She can take a 4-5 hour nap without any problems; we were watching her last weekend… We could hardly make her play with us, so that we could sleep at night. We went to the Vet’s as well, first she liked him, but when he started to examine her, she started to hiss and growl at him. She was not given a shot yet, because he said it would be due the week after, and we will also start giving her ear-drops again this week. But she was given calcium tablets to make her bones stronger. She does not really like it, but we’ve resolved this: we grate it into her food in the morning and in the evening. The doc said that Szoffi does not really clean her bum, I had also spotted that she was not cleaning it as other cats do... thus we are supposed to do it now but we hope to make her do it for herself somehow as soon as possible, because at these times she becomes rather sullen.

"Mackó (she is cat no. 1 –ed.) is a great actress, an Oscar nominee. Great affection in the morning, they even kissed. When we are not visible, they are chasing like nuts. But as soon as she can see me, she starts to hiss. But Berci (Makett) is starting to learn that he must run away, and now it is much funnier is He eats approximately 2 bags of food, plus what Mackó leaves. Thus this seems to be the beginning of a beautiful friendship. The do not go farther than 1 meter from each other.
The kitten is such a little cajole-box, you can lay him on the back, and when I am scratching his belly, he is laughing with an open mouth; I have never seen anything like this before. He is a tough little guy. But I cannot see him shedding a single teardrop for his siblings. "

"I can tell only positive things about these two big games. Mackó already pushes the little one over while she is hungry:) and lets him eat her leftovers only after that. But why is Mackó’s food more delicious than the royal deluxe food of the little one? He does not growl at us, either. And yesterday Mackó taught Berci how to hunt a bug. And there is a lot of kissing. They are so sweet. Now they can play for real, they have great runs, I can hardly spring out of their way, and they slide on the parquet in such a funny way And my flowers had to be taken in from the terrace, because now they are lying together on the Cute, cute,cute :) Of course we are regularly late for work in the morning, because it is so hard to leave home so much cuteness, and they are still using one litter box, no matter that there are two litter boxes side by side. They have not read that as many cats you have, as many litter boxes you need.”

My diary:
2nd August – I was rescued from a playground. 3rd August – I moved to my first master’s at last,, though as far as I heard she is just a foster one (what could that mean???) I am skinny, I have fleas and diarrhea, and I can see with my left eye badly. I was taken to the vet; I enjoyed it very much, though I am a bit at a cross with him, because he stuck that thermometer into my bum… And that shot! (antibiotics, flea preventive, , eye drops) 5th August My fleas died. I was given a bath...ghrrr....no matter I was protesting with four paws, whining I had already licked myself over several times. I thought that was all for today but I was wrong. I visited the vet because I snuffle, I can’t breathe properly. Thermometer again, a shot again :( 6th August I am bored of taking vitamins and eye-drops daily! But I’ve figured out to leave my haunt, the shovel, and I will sleep in my bed instead. 8th August - Vet again. Now the usual thermometer, and apart from the shot I also got some vermifuge and he cleaned my ears. 11th August - I was declared healthy officially!!!!!! I could meet my mate at last! From now on I am just cuddling, purring, kneading all day and I am waiting for the dream master!
28th August – At laaaaast! From today I will also be an adopted cat! :)

We received some bad news about Cilike, our former protégé: after having a master for six months, our good old cat crossed the rainbow bridge. We thank Ági for having adopted her, and she could live the rest of her life in happiness and love. Good bye, Cilike.
